About Me

This site is the secondary blog by Christer Edwards.  Generally articles that don’t quite fit on Ubuntu Tutorials or are still “in the works” will get posted here.  Recently this blog has seen a FreeBSD focus as I have been tinkering and learning that platform.  This is meant to be a learning blog.  Hopefully the articles here are of some use to the general interweb community.

    • Hi,

  1. I have been trying to create a TFTP/DHCP server off and on for 3 days now on a Virtual Machine loaded with Fedora 13. I have finally gotten the DHCP portion to hand out an address to the client machine but cannot seem to get the TFTP server part to find the file. I tried to follow your instructions closely. I cannot even get a test connection from a tftp client to connect using the XP pro client. Then as a test I tried telnet. Telnet was not installed so I tried to install w/YUM and it failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
